2020 RUSTY BOLT RULES

IF IT DOESN’T SAY IT; YOU CAN’T DO IT SEE RULES #13 AND #15

IF YOU ARE DISQUALIFIED FOR MOTOR , TRANSMISSION, OR SUSPENSION YOU WILL LOSE ALL POINTS FOR THAT NIGHT ALONG WITH AN ADDITIONAL 100 POINTS.

The following rules and regulations shall supersede any and all previous rules and regulations published.

CAR REQUIREMENTS

  1. Any V6 or V8 cylinder car is acceptable providing it meets safety requirements.

  2. All glass must be removed. Must have screen in place of windshield

  3. All doors must be chained, welded or bolted shut.

  4. Must have tow chain on front and rear of vehicle.

  5. Must have number on roof and both sides (18” or larger)

  6. No 4 wheel drive or all-wheel drive

  7. No turbo , superchargers, or nitrous allowed

  8. Gas only. No alcohol

  9. Stock wheels or 8” max racing wheels. bead locks allowed. No homemade wheels allowed.1” lug nuts on all 4 wheels. All 4 wheels must be the same size13” 14” 15” 16” 17”. No staggering wheels. No wheel spacers allowed. V6 front wheel may run stock aluminum wheels.

  10. Any dot tire or 8” Hoosier racing , American Racer tires  allowed.

  11. No high performance or race parts permitted! Aluminum Pulleys and aluminum radiators allowed.

  12. May run 9” ford rear- end. Floater ok. May run locked rear-ends

  13. Car must be stock/factory. No modifications to motor, suspension, or cars

  14. No bump stops. Rear wheels must be straight. No rear steer.

  15. Stock from factory cars, engines, and transmissions. Manual transmissions are allowed with a stock flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch.. no racing clutches or lightened flywheels

  16. Locked rear-ends or front ends allowed

  17. K & N air filters and breathers in valve cover are allowed. Racing oil pans and valve covers allowed.

  18. Quick steer and aftermarket power steering allowed

  19. No modification to suspension or engine. Body’s must remain as stock as possible. May run aluminum body Fender wells may be trimmed for tire clearance. Inner fender wells may be removed. Head and tail lights must be removed. No 3rd brake lights. Stock bumpers with small nerf bars allowed. Bumpers must be chained and/or welded to frame. Must have stock front firewall and floor pan must be stock to back of rear seat. Must have some type of sealed firewall between driver and trunk area.

  20. No Bowtie intake 

  21. Stock Replacement rod is ok as long as its a 5.7

  22. V8 engines. Chevy’s allowed with 305”s only. No 307”s. no vortech heads or roller motors. May run screw in or pin in studs. No porting or polishing of any kind. Maximum .60 bore. 305 heads only. Fords allowed with 302 only.307 olds only. Engine must be same make as make of car ex. Gm -Gm , ford –ford. Camshafts must be hydraulic. 410 lift max. Pistons cannot come out of block.

  23. Stock cast iron dual plane intakes only. No aluminum intakes.

  24. 1 Quadra jet or 4412 2 barrel carbs only with max of 1 inch adaptor plate is necessary. Must be stock and no alterations. V6 fwd cars must run factory fuel infection.

  25. Stock cast iron manifolds. No headers. No porting or polishing. No aftermarket.

  26. 1 shock per wheel. Stock appearing shocks only. No adjustable or rebuildable shocks.

  27. May run any suspension spring in stock location. No wedge bolts front or rear. No spring spacers or buckets.

  28. Stock upper and lower A- arms . stock trailing arms, STOCK UNALTERED MOUNTS on non  adjustable tubalor upper a arm . No aftermarket or modified.

  29. Must have 6pt cage 

  30. Any car or cars dominating will have to add weight at tracks request.

  31. Must have 4 wheel working brakes. No brake bias.

  32. V6 cars must run factory engines

  33. Rwd cars must weight 3200 lbs at end of feature race. Fwd cars must weight 3100 lbs at end of feature race

 

After winning 3 races, you are eligible to be tore down by the track.

SAFETY RULES

  1. All DRIVERS AND RIDERS MUST WEAR DOT APPROVED  HELMET, MINIMUM 4 POINT RACING HARNESS, LONG SLEEVE SHIRT AND PANTS. RACING SUITE HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

  2. 6PT CAGE REQUIRED 

  3. WINDOW NETS HIGHLY RECOMMENDEDFOR DRIVER AND RIDER

  4. ALL CARS MUST HAVE WORKING FIRE EXTINQUISHER.

  5. IF ANY OR ALL OF THE ABOVE IS NOT BEING USED/IN CAR YOU WILL NOT RACE.

 

ROLL BAR AND CAGE INSTALLATION MANDITORY

  1. Must be built from steel tubing (no pipe of any kind)min 1 ½” OD x .95” thickness. All tubing must be mandrel bent and welded with arch, mid, or tig. Full 6 post roll cage with at least 1 horizontal bar behind driver from left to right. A minimum of 3 horizontal door bars on passenger side 4 on drivers side. A horizontal bar from left to right between front cage posts at dash height. Other bars or braces protect driver, radiators, etc. are allowed. But must remain inside body lines. may have rub rails on outside of doors with no protruding edges.

 

PROTEST (NO GRUDGE CLAIMS)

. ONCE A CLAIM HAS BEEN MADE IT CAN NOT BE TAKEN AWAY

  1. IF YOU CLAIM A CAR YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR HEAD AND BE LEGAL BEFORE CAR THAT IS CLAIMED IS TORE DOWN . IF THE ONE THAT IS CLAIMING PASSES TECH THE TRACK WILL GIVE YOU $50 FOR NEW GASKETS 

  2. $250.00 TO TEAR DOWN TOP OF MOTOR INCLUDES HEAD, CARBURETOR, INTAKE, EXHAUST AND TOP OF PISTON STROKE.TRACK WILL RETAIN $50.00 OF PROTEST $ WINNER OF PROTEST WILL RECEIVE $200.00.

  3. $500.00 COMPLETE ENGINE TEAR DOWN. WILL TEAR ALL IN #1 PLUS CAM, CRANK AND ROD INSPECTION. TRACK WILL RETAIN $100.00 OF PROTEST $ WINNER OF PROTEST WILL RECEIVE 400.00 

  4. CLAIMER MUST BE ON THE LEAD LAP AND CLAIM WITHIN 5 MINUTES AFTER THE CONCLUSION OF THE FEATURE RACE. MUST HAVE THE MONEY ON THEM AT TIME OF CLAIM. YOU CAN NOT GO TO YOUR PIT TO GET THE MONEY. MUST PRESENT MONEY AND CAR YOU ARE CLAIMING TO TECH MAN OR A TRACK OFFICIAL ON THE RACE TRACK.

  5. TRACK HAS THE RIGHT TO TEAR DOWN ANY CAR ON ANY GIVING NIGHT.

  6. DISQUILIFICATION WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF MONEY AND POINTS FOR THE NIGHT (MUST COMPLETE 15 WEEKS OF RACING TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR POINTS)ALL POINTS WILL BE AWARDED TO DRIVER.         

 

Winner of feature must start in rear of next feature you race. If it is an advertised  added money race you do not have to start in the rear. if you win the added money race than you must start in the rear the next feature you race

 

REFUSALL TO PERMIT INSPECTION WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE DISQUILIFICATION FOR THE NIGHT HEAT AND FEATURE.

TRACK INSPECTORS DECISION IS FINAL. No exceptions

Winner of feature must start in rear of next feature you race. If it is an advertised  added money race you do not have to start in the rear. if you win the added money race than you must start in the rear the next feature you race
